Choreographer/Teacher

Rebekah Meinert is no stranger to the world of dance. After nearly 15 years of dancing and competing locally in all styles of dance, Rebekah had the prestigious honor of traveling to London and France for the Young Artists Festival held annually for outstanding young performers scouted from competitions in Los Angeles. This experience led her to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Dance at California State University, Long Beach, where she studied all styles of Ballet and Modern dance, including methodology and choreography. 

While keeping busy in college, Rebekah wanted to keep competition opportunities close, so she began working for Dance Precisions under Edith Montoya. The world of competitive dance was a fit, so Rebekah decided to bring her extensive knowledge and education back to the Valley. Her journey with Dancers Edge began 23 years ago, and with the support of Marie and Tyler, Rebekah was able to grow a successful career in choreography and teaching. In addition to numerous awards, victory cups and achievements, Rebekah received a Master's Degree in Dance to complete her educational goals. Most recently, she received 2 prestigious Industry Dance Awards in Hollywood for Best Lyrical/Modern dance of 2016 and 2018.  Her powerful routines "Glacier" & "Soon This Space Will Be Too Small" received the highest choreographic honor at Starpower's Annual Awards.

Rebekah is also the Dance Director at College of the Sequoias, where she continues to guide dancers on their educational path after graduation. Whether pursuing a professional career, or desiring a job in dance administration, Rebekah is here set goals for her students' future endeavors.

After 30 years of teaching, Rebekah has found a forever home at DE, where her passion for dance continues to thrive. She is known as "Second Momma" to her students and treasures the close relationships made in this wonderful business. In her spare time, Rebekah enjoys spending time with her 10 year old son Luke, who always keeps her on her toes!
