Erin Roche
Teacher
Miss Erin has been dancing since the age of seven, beginning her training at Visalia Dance Center. As a young dancer, she was a member of both the singing and dancing group Showstoppers as well as the competition team STARS. In high school, she began dancing with an adult group and discovered her passion for teaching, instructing classes at Tulare Dance Works under the direction of Michele Lapp. During this time, she studied tap, jazz, ballet (including pointe), and lyrical, training at various studios across California and learning from choreographers from all over the United States.
Erin continued her dance education in college as a member of the College of the Sequoias (COS) dance team. She went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies from Fresno State University in 1999, followed by a master’s degree in Administration from Chapman University in 2003. Throughout college and into adulthood, Erin performed with a semi-professional dance group, showcasing her skills at numerous events throughout the Central Valley.
Outside of dance, Erin has been happily married to her husband, Eric, for 26 years. Together, they have four children, two sons, Blaine and Carson, and two daughters, Alex and Quinn, who have practically grown up at Dancers Edge.
With 26 years of experience as an elementary school teacher in Tulare and 11 years as a dance instructor, Miss Erin brings both knowledge and heart to her teaching. This season marks her 4th year with Dancers Edge, and she is thrilled to continue sharing her passion for dance with the DE community.
