Teacher

Alysha Johnson has been dancing since the age of three. A former competitive dancer at multiple studios across Southern California, she also spent her middle and high school years on her school dance teams. She is extensively trained in ballet, contemporary, lyrical, jazz, pom, and hip-hop.

Alysha began assistant teaching at age 14, where her passion for dance education first took root, and began leading her own classes at 17. Now with seven years of teaching experience, she continually seeks opportunities to grow as an educator by attending masterclasses and elite industry conventions.

Alysha believes a strong technical foundation is the key to success across all styles. In the studio, she creates a safe, energetic environment where students are encouraged to step outside their comfort zones, embrace new challenges, and build confidence.

As a performer and choreographer, Alysha's work has earned numerous high point awards, scholarships, and top overalls for her solos, duos, trios, and group routines.

She is thrilled to join the DE team this season and looks forward to an incredible year ahead!
