ABOUT DANCERS EDGE

Dancers Edge was founded in 1996 by Marie Barlow and Tyler Caspary with the vision of providing the Visalia community a safe, fun, and inspiring space to learn the art of dance. What began as a single studio has now grown into three thriving locations: Visalia Pershing, Visalia Downtown, and Hanford, serving dancers throughout the Central Valley. This year, we proudly celebrate our 30th season.

 

For three decades, Dancers Edge has been dedicated to helping students of all ages discover their passion for dance while building confidence, discipline, and creativity. From recreational classes to competitive opportunities, our dancers receive top-quality training in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Lyrical, and our beloved Tot-A-Lot preschool program. Every class is taught with age-appropriate material by qualified instructors who are committed to bringing out the best in each child.

 

In 2017, we expanded our vision with the launch of our Theatre Arts Department, now directed by Allison Marquez-Djordjevic. Students can explore performance beyond dance through our Annual Musical Production, Summer Mini Musical, and Edge Music Showcase. Our T3 (Triple Threats) performing arts team shines at community events and concludes the season with an unforgettable performance at the Disneyland Resort.

 

Dancers Edge is also home to the nationally recognized DE Dance Company. This award-winning competition team, made up of dancers ages 4 to 18, has earned numerous national titles and choreography awards across California and the West Coast. Many of our Company members go on to pursue dance in college and the professional world, and some even return to join our DE Family as instructors and choreographers.

 

At Dancers Edge, we believe in more than just teaching dance steps. We nurture artists, performers, and leaders who carry the joy and discipline of dance with them for life.
