Teacher

Miss Brittany is excited to continue teaching at Dancers Edge this season. This year, she will be teaching jazz, ballet, and stretch classes for the T3 group, and she also brings extensive experience teaching musical theatre, tap, ballet, lyrical, and tiny tots. She has been part of the Visalia performing arts community since age four and continues to use her background to share her love of music, dance, and theatre with students of all ages.

Miss Brittany holds a B.A. in Communications with minors in music and theatre from Whitworth University. Throughout college, she danced with the dance ministry club, taking ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, highland, and teaching musical theatre. She also spent three years on Whitworth’s American College Dance Association team, training under leading dance professionals from across the country.

For the past decade, Miss Brittany has taught local dance classes, including competition groups, solos, and recital pieces, with a focus on musical theatre. Her students have earned several judges' choice awards, and her choreography has received top ten scores and entertainment honors.

​

In addition to teaching, Miss Brittany remains active in the local performing arts community. She sings with the worship team at Gateway Church and performs as a soprano with the Visalia Community Chorus and Voces Lumine. Some of her favorite past roles include Peter in Peter Pan, Amber and Velma in Hairspray, Mrs. Wormwood in Matilda, Grace in Annie, and performing in The Nutcracker with Theatre Arts Alliance.
