Teacher

Miss Shawnee is a new teacher at Dancers Edge and is excited to share her love for dance with her students! She teaches a variety of styles, including Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary, Jazz, and Pom. As a proud Dancers Edge alumna, Shawnee grew up in the studio and competed with some of the best.

After graduating high school, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Dance and was a member of the Fresno State Dance Team throughout college. This experience allowed her to grow in versatility and deepen her knowledge of the collegiate dance world. Following college, Shawnee continued her dance career with the professional contemporary company Imprints, where she has traveled to Los Angeles for performances and continues to expand her training. Performing with Imprints has given her new perspectives on movement and artistry that have greatly shaped her both as a dancer and a person.

Shawnee believes dance is truly special because of its ability to connect to all aspects of life, inspiring growth both in and out of the studio. Fun fact: she is also the Cheer/Dance Team Coach at Sierra Pacific High School!
