“Cutting Edge” is a performing and competition Company for dancers ages 4 and up, based out of the Hanford studio. This company is perfect for the focused dancer who wants to excel in dance but also offers the flexibility for the dancer to participate in other activities. “Cutting Edge” is known for its fun, energetic, routines full of style and flair. Dancers are selected through an audition process and placed into groups, by age and ability.

“CUTTING EDGE” dancers will:
- K-IA level dancers must take 1 jazz, 1 ballet and their weekly rehearsals.
- Company 5 dancers must take 1 jazz, 1 JTS, 1 ballet and their weekly rehearsals.
- Company 4 or higher must take 2 ballet classes, 1 jazz, 1 JTS and their weekly rehearsals.
- Hip Hop, lyrical, tap and acro are optional. Dancers on tap groups must also take a tap technique class.
- Attend classes 2-3 days a week
- Attend master classes and conventions with special guest teachers
- Compete in 3 Fresno area competitions and 1 out of town. Competition to be
determined later.
- Perform at community events
- Take the “On the Edge” workshop and attend Summer classes
- Be present at all performances and competitions
- Display a positive attitude and strive for personal success in all classes and events throughout the entire year.
“CUTTING EDGE” dancers’ financial requirements include"
- Monthly tuition (September-June) varies per dancer
- Costume estimate for each costume $250: Rhinestones are extra
- Choreography fee estimate:$75-$200 per routine and per dancer
- Competition fee estimate: $40 per group per competition
- Rhinestone estimate: $75 per costume
- Traveling Jacket:$150 Optional Pants: $60
- Prop fee if applicable*See FAQ on last page of packet
- Handling fees if applicable to cover the costs of hauling the props
- Travel fee per dancer per competition; $10
- Recital fee $64
Average estimate of $600 per routine (estimate based on 7 competitions)
Price based on group routines only. Solos and duet/trios will be extra.
