DE Dance Company

Listed below is the audition information for the 2011-2012 season for DE Dance Company. Make sure you read through the" Audition Packet" for some information may be different than last season.

What is the Audition Process?

1. All dancers must sign up and take the required mandatory Summer classes at Dancers Edge
2. Turn in the Audition form by the first day of Summer Classes , July 11, 2011
3. Attend the “On the Edge” workshop at the Visalia studio.  Edge senior dancers will be required to attend classes at the EDGE in LA or a convention in August.

Requirements for Auditions:

The “On the Edge” workshop will be held August 22-26 at the Visalia studio. The teachers and the choreographers will have an opportunity to work one on one with your dancer before audition day.  Your dancers will be working with some amazing teachers.

1. “On the Edge” workshop will be held August 22-26 at the Visalia studio.
2. All levels of dancers are required to attend except EDGE senior dancers who must train in LA. 
3. The fee for the workshop is $75 for mini dancers and $150 for junior and older dancers (non-refundable)

When the audition is and what should I bring?

1. Auditions will be held on Saturday, August 27th. See bulletin board for exact times.
2. Each dancer must bring a $350 deposit to the audition.  Only 1 deposit per dancer is required.  This fee will be used as a deposit for traveling outfit, costumes, etc.  If you are not accepted into DE Dance Company your deposit will be returned.
3. All dancers will be given a number once the deposit is paid.
4. Dancers must wear all black with their hair pulled back.  Dancers must wear their numbers.
5. Edge and Edge kids will be having a separate audition in Visalia on Saturday August 27th. Cutting Edge auditions in Hanford will be held Saturday August 27th. Dancers who chose to attend both “On the Edge” workshops must pay 2 separate fees.
6. Results will be posted by each dancer’s audition number on the website and at the Dancers Edge (Both locations) on Wednesday August 31st.  Results will not be given over the phone.  All results are FINAL.  No meetings to discuss auditions or placement of dancers in routines will change the results.  We will continue to have our “Open Door” policy if anyone would like to discuss theirs dancer’s progress or help to set goals for the new dance year.
